Sensaphonics is expanding its 3D AARO in-ear monitoring line with the 3D-U ambient earphones. This model offers the full functionality of the company's 3D AARO system in a universal-fit design and affordable price point.
The new 3D-U earphones contain embedded binaural microphones as part of the system, utilizing the same proprietary full-range drivers and mics a Sensaphonics' custom-fit 3D AARO counterparts. They feature the SensaQuad quadraxial cable which the company says offers a secure connection and easy field replacement. Also included is a “fit kit” of foam and rubber earpiece tips, ensuring comfortable fit and high-isolation seal.
As many worship bands turn to in-ear monitoring systems, the rise of ambient earphone technology has proven popular. Making the switch from zero monitoring or floor wedges can be a slow process for amateur musicians. The Sensaphonics 3D system allows the binaural microphones on each earpiece, capturing all ambient sound, to be mixed via wireless bodypack with earphone source audio, providing each musician with as much isolation or outside ambience as needed.
Expected to ship in late winter 2016, these earphones bring emerging and attractive technology in an affordable package to a wider audience.
