The annual church filmmaking and creative content event, the Capture Summit, will take place July 25-27 at The John Maxwell Leadership Center at 12Stone Church in Atlanta. One of our Capture sponsors is NETGEAR, makers of ProAV solutions engineered specifically for AV over IP. We talked with NETGEAR’s Director of SMB Product Marketing John Henkel about the company’s plans for Capture.
Capture: What solutions will NETGEAR bring to Capture and how do they apply to church filmmakers and video production teams?
Henkel: NETGEAR will be showing the award-winning M4250 series of network switches built for AV over IP. These switches feature a groundbreaking AV-oriented user interface that makes configuring a switch a snap. We use lab-tested profiles for the various kinds of AV protocols filmmakers and video production teams use, like NDI. All you have to do is to select the profile for NDI5, for example, select the ports you want to configure on the switch, and click Enter. That’s it. We do all the work behind the scenes to ensure the switch is properly configured.
Capture: What would you like NETGEAR to be known for in the church world?
Henkel: The biggest takeaway for people to realize about NETGEAR is that we are here to help. We want to make this easy for you and help you succeed. That’s why our free Engineering Services team will help you design and deploy your network. From selecting the right switch(es) to making sure you have the proper uplinks across your network, our entire Pro AV team cares about helping you succeed.
Capture: Do you have any interesting examples of NETGEAR being used in churches?
Henkel: We are working on a newer case study, but only one we have is here: https://www.netgear.com/landingsnew/success-stories/images/pdf/business/success-stories/Case-Study-engav-US-Q219.pdf
Capture: Is there anything else that you'd like to share:
Henkel: Please stop by so we can show you just how easy it is to configure one of our M4250 switches. You will be amazed.
