Released at the 2016 InfoComm show in Las Vegas, Nevada, Anchor Audio has unveiled its new AIR Wireless speaker line. Comprised of two models, the battery powered companion speakers offer multiple options and easy integration for extending PA needs both indoors and outdoors.
The AIR Wireless line includes the Liberty AIR, a full-range speaker with a woofer and high-frequency driver, and the MegaVox Air, featuring a single horn-driver optimized for spoken word and other public address applications.
Designed to integrate both portable and wireless needs in tandem, both models are battery powered, offering up to six to eight hours of performance on a single charge. The speakers seamlessly connect to one of the company's wireless transmitters–an optional, built-in upgrade to the user's main sound system–via 100 user-selectable channels operating within the 900MHz frequency. With an unlimited number of units able to connect to the transmitter and an operating range over 150 feet, the AIR companion speakers are tailored for extended-range and large-scale public address needs.
For users needing an ADA-compliant sound system, the companion transmitter also connects with the company's assisted listening devices, which operate in the same 900MHz range. Additional features include wired connections on the rear panel when wireless operation is not needed and wireless microphone integration.
The Liberty AIR retails for $1000 MSRP and the MegaVox AIR for $550 MSPR. Both speakers began shipping on June 1st, 2016.
