Released at the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, the UNITY DR16 digital mixer from Peavey is the first product in the new UNITY Series. As a modular and adaptable mixing solution, the DR16 offers plenty of options for self-contained musicians, portable live sound, and installed applications.
In its standard configuration, the DR16 features 16 inputs and six outputs. Inputs are split into eight variable XLR/line connections, six 1/4-inch line connections, and two 1/8-inch line connections. All inputs feature Peavey's Priority Ducker, allowing for spoken word and presentation situations to make automatic level adjustments, along with group mute and solo functions. Four built-in effects processors offer reverb, delay, and other standard algorithms. The six XLR outputs feature parametric EQ, 31-band graphic EQ and a feedback eliminator.
As a wireless mixing solution, the DR16 module features a mixed network configuration of up to 10 Ethernet and four Wi-Fi connections simultaneously. This allows for stage musicians, FOH, and monitor engineers to make adjustments on the fly from the Peavey control app, which is available for iOS, Android, PC, and Mac platforms.
For those needing additional channels and networking expansion, multiple DR16's can be combined in tandem. An optional expansion card provides the ability to make inputs 13 through 16 analog unbalanced/balanced inputs, S/PDIF, or Dante protocol.
