QSC has released it's new Version 1.1 firmware update for their TouchMix-30 Pro compact digital mixer. This new update adds a variety of significant enhancements including Direct Downloads for upgrades, Parametric EQ improvements, Channel Safe functions, and other workflow options.
As a portable device, the TouchMix-30 Pro will now automatically check for firmware updates when connected to the internet. An attached USB memory device will store the download and then the update may be installed from the USB device at any time.
Improvements to the Parametric EQ include the display automatically expanding on the screen when the channel RTA is disabled. In addition, the Q parameter is responsive to pinching gestures on the touchscreen, both on the physical mixer and latest release of the TouchMix Control app.
The new Channel Safe function prevents an individual channel's settings from being changed by a scene recall. Both input and output settings can utilize this updated safe function.
Additional upgrades include LCD brightness control, delay settings for monitoring, balance control for FX returns, improved multi-track session file backup/restore, network improvements for tablet/smartphone connectivity, and updated appearance and layouts to the menu and mixer setup pages.
