Released at the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, Samson has unveiled the Q7x and Q8x microphones. Updated and redesigned from previous models, the two dynamic mics are suited for live and studio vocal and instrumental uses along with presentations and podcasting.
The Q7x offers a wide dynamic range with a tailored mid-range presence utilizing a neodymium capsule element. A low-frequency roll-off and smooth frequency response provides a balanced solution for both vocal and instrumental uses.
Samson's flagship model, the Q8x, provides the same neodymium capsule but with a flat response and a slight lift at 8kHz for clarity, suitable for vocals in live mixes with minimal EQ adjustments.
Both models feature a supercardioid pickup pattern, improving off-axis rejection while maintaining volume and feedback suppression in noisy environments. Improved capsule shock mounts minimize handling noise and offer a high SPL response.
Shipping in March 2017, the Q7x will retail for $79.99 with the Q8x retailing for $99.99##/SUBHEAD###
