Sennheiser is introducing its new SpeechLine wireless system at the 2016 InfoComm Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Designed exclusively for spoken word applications, the system presents an expanded range of capabilities enabling simultaneous, multi-room implementations of multiple SpeechLine systems, Dante protocol IP network compatibility, and management via the new Sennheiser Control Cockpit software.
Operating on the 1.9 GHz frequency band, the SpeechLine system features an automatic interference switching system which moves to an alternative, free frequency without disruption, according to the company's release. Transmission power is also adjustable giving users the ability to run multiple systems within close proximity without interference.
The system is available as a handheld or lavalier microphone or headset. All sets include a mobile transmitter unit, body pack, and receiver station respectively. Wireless units all feature a lithium-ion battery which provides more than 15 hours of use on a single charge. In addition, batteries can also be recharged via USB if needed. Selectable sound profiles have been built into the system ensuring maximum intelligibility for both male and female voices.
Setup, management, and control of all systems can be done with the Sennheiser Control Cockpit software via a smartphone or tablet. The company's release concludes, "The intuitive interface allows any user to wirelessly control settings, frequency coordination, and system status."
