Adoro worship drum sets are now available in the United States of America. The company has recently opened a branch office in Kansas City, Missouri.
The drum manufacturer Adoro is located in Hamburg, Germany, and has been building its very own unique kind of drums since 2008. The company has won several awards for their innovative drum sets. Adoro is spanish Spanish for “I adore” and describes that the drums were actually designed for adoration: drums for worship bands, and events with small audiences where drums are not or not fully amplified, and a professional, low volume stage sound is needed.
Adoro is a drum manufacturer focused on building less louquieterd drums for bright sounding locations like church buildings. The company press release states, “The sensible response and full and rich sound even when played softly has convinced many worship leaders and musicians worldwide. One of the first, who embraced Adoro Drums was renowned Canadian worship artist Brian Doerksen.”
"Live engineers will love the control of the source sound at their disposal, enabling them to present a big open roomy sound or a more focused processed sound, with flexibility all the way between."

Live & Studio Drummer, Brian Doerksen.
Calum Rees, Brian Doerksen's live and studio drummer, shares his experience of playing Adoro drums. “My Adoro drums have quickly become the most requested set-up for both recording sessions and live events,” he says. “They have a focused tone with an extremely broad range of tuning capabilities resulting in a very flexible instrument. Live engineers will love the control of the source sound at their disposal, enabling them to present a big open roomy sound or a more focused processed sound, with flexibility all the way between. I've yet to find an musical situation where these drums do not excel.”
Earlier this year Adoro introduced its worship drums at the NAMM Sshow in Los Angeles and will also be at the NAMM summer show event in Nashville this June.
The minimum volume level for a musical event can be dominated by loud drums. This forces many churches to use acrylic screens or even e-drums to get the sound under control. Adoro's press release states, “It is common sense that the acoustic sound of the drums from stage, needs to be overpowered by the PA system in order to get a proper sound. But with our worship drums, events can be run at up to 80% less volume, so the sound engineer has full control over the sound level, and does not have to work with e-drums or acrylic screens anymore.”
Rees continues, “Churches should also look into investing into these drums before shutting their drummers away behind that dreaded perspex screen. The drum construction enables a full tone without the need for heavy hitting, and your drummers will be thankful for an instrument that can convey every nuance in their playing. If they are lacking somewhat in the nuance department then these drums will help them find it!”
The readers of Drumheads Magazine voted Adoro's City Lights Custom Set as Dream Drum Set of the Year in 2013.
Rees concludes, “Playing an Adoro set of drums inspires me to further my ability and discover more of the drummer I could be... I heartily recommend Adoro to anyone who is looking for a top quality instrument that will both inspire and produce fantastic results.”
