ATLANTA— The church filmmaking and video production educational conference, Capture Summit by Church Production Live Events of Raleigh, North Carolina, is the only event of its kind entirely devoted to the training and excellence of visual content creators in the house of worship space. Now in its sixth year and coming to Atlanta in 2022—a location uniquely situated in the Bible Belt and in one of the top film production states in the country—Capture includes in-depth training sessions, hands-on workshops, product demonstrations, advanced question-and-answer sessions, networking and worship time designed by some of the nation’s top church production film and video technical artists and leaders.
On July 25-27, 2022, at Metro Atlanta’s John C. Maxwell Leadership Center at 12Stone Church, 2050 Sugarloaf Circle, Duluth, GA, 30097, the Capture Summit kicks off its first-ever three-day event.
“Capture Summit is designed to give church film and video team members and their leaders an intense educational experience that they can’t find anyplace else,” says Brian Blackmore, founder and president of Capture Summit, Church Production Live Events, and editor of Church Production Magazine, the 23-year-running veteran publication covering church technical arts in the areas of audio, video, lighting, film production, streaming, and more. “From seasoned pros in film and video production to volunteers in various stages of training, church content creators have historically had no place to go to learn and to expressly celebrate their craft, which is specifically devoted to sharing the message of modern ministry. Capture Summit is that place, and our mission is to fulfill this tremendous and urgent need within the church market.”
To help celebrate the work of church film and video content creators across the U.S. and around the globe, another Capture Summit original offering is its Church Filmcraft Festival viewing and awards. The festival allows churches of all sizes to submit their top work for a chance to be nationally recognized for their teams’ efforts. Submission categories include Best Series Starter, Best Music Video, Best Video Concept, Best Testimonial, and more.
“Capture Summit is designed to give church film and video team members and their leaders an intense educational experience that they can’t find anyplace else.”
Sponsors of the Capture Summit historically include top professional video, film, and cinema camera manufacturers, lighting and audio vendors, streaming service providers, distributors, music and score providers, camera monitor and switcher makers, software, special effects, and animation services, and much more.
