Roland Professional announces the new XI-WSG Waves SoundGrid expansion card for their M-5000 Series consoles. The card features three ports for connection to Waves SoundGrid Servers, allowing for low-latency, redundant audio connection and direction to a PC for MultiRack SoundGrid control without the need for an external network hub.
Able to accommodate 64 inputs and 64 outputs, the XI-WSG card integrates Waves' plug-in processing, multitrack recording, and playback within an M-5000 Series console. Along with the console's REAC, MADI, and Dante network connections, users have a full array of options for up to 96kHz audio transport and integration.
Roland's release states, "With the popularity of Waves processing–including EQ's, reverbs, delays, and dynamics–the XI-WSG provides a seamless solution for integrating additional tone and control shaping into any live environment."
Shipping will be available in late summer 2016.
